Lola Organic Tampons

It shocks me every day to learn what is in products that I have used my entire life. I wasn't allowed to use tampons until I was in the 9th grade. I still don't understand why my Mom had that rule. Why would anyone want their child waddling around in a pad? Until about two years ago, I had never even questioned anything about them. I just knew when it was that time of the month to ride the cotton pony I would go buy a box of Tampax Pearls and that was that.  It was a shock to me to find out that the FDA doesn't require tampon companies to disclose the ingredients in tampons. WHAT? That makes zero sense to me. So, until I know 100% that tampons don't contain bleach, toxins, and pesticides then I will use organic tampons.

I recently tried out the brand Lola. Lola is an online company that ships organic tampons to your door every month. They advertise themselves as 100% transparent with their ingredient list, which I like a lot! They use BPA free applicators and biodegradable cardboard applicators.  If you don't prefer applicators, you can buy them without applicators as well.

Lola tampons are free of synthetic fibers, chemical additives, fragrance, dyes, chlorine bleach, GMOs, pesticides, toxins, latex, or formaldehyde. But I think my favorite thing about them is that they are made in Europe and shipped to the USA. Maybe I am being ridiculous, but I know Europe is heavily regulated and doesn’t allow half the crap that the USA does in their products. For me, this makes me and my vag super stoked!

I ordered the customized box with lights, regulars, and supers. I really liked that I could customize my own box, because everyone has different needs during their cycle. This way, I can order what I need and not have a whole extra box of supers when I only need 2 per cycle.

I was really impressed that there was no leakage. I have used several other "organic brands" and I had to change my tampon every hour on a LIGHT day. What a waste of cotton. Anyway, I loved everything about these. They were comfortable, easy to use, leak proof, and ORGANIC.

My other favorite part about Lola is you can do automatic delivery every month. How many times have you started and been out of tampons? Now that won’t happen because you have automatic delivery!

The price wasn't as bad as I thought. 1 box of 18 with plastic applicators was $10. 2 boxes were $18, so you saved $2. I think a box of Tampax Pearls is around $4 for an 18 pack. The difference in price is a little much, but for me it is worth it to know that I am not putting chemicals and pesticides in my body!
